These spooky spider web deviled eggs combine classic comfort food with seasonal theatrics. Featuring a tangy, creamy yolk filling topped with intricate white chocolate webs, they are an easy, impressive, and crowd-pleasing Halloween treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening
  • Dill or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with cold water by an inch. Bring to a rolling boil, then remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water and cool for at least 10 minutes to stop cooking and aid peeling.
  3. Peel the cooled eggs under running water, slice them in half lengthwise, and scoop out the yolks into a mixing bowl.
  4. Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
  5. Pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves using a piping bag or Ziploc bag.
  6. Refrigerate the filled eggs for at least 30 minutes to firm up the filling.
  7. Melt white chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  8. Dip a toothpick into the melted chocolate, touch the center of an egg filling, and pull outward in a spiral. Drag lines from center to edge to create a web pattern.
  9. Place eggs on parchment paper to let the chocolate set for about 10 minutes.
  10. Garnish with dill or parsley if desired and serve chilled.

Notes

Use eggs that are at least a week old for easier peeling. Ensure the chocolate is melted smoothly but not overheated to prevent seizing. Chilling the filled eggs before adding the chocolate web is crucial for a crisp finish. These can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
