A theatrical, non-alcoholic Halloween punch featuring a sweet pineapple and orange juice base with lemon-lime soda, enhanced by a dramatic dry ice fog effect for a spooky party centerpiece.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 64 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 32 oz Orange Juice
  • 2 liters Lemon-Lime Soda
  • 5–10 drops Red Food Coloring
  • Orange Slices (for garnish)
  • Gummy Worms (for garnish)
  • 2–3 pounds Dry Ice
  • 1–2 cups Warm Water (for dry ice reaction)

Instructions

  1. Combine pineapple juice and orange juice in a large pitcher or punch bowl. Stir gently to mix.
  2. Add red food coloring to the juice mixture, starting with 5 drops and adjusting to achieve a deep, vibrant orange or red hue.
  3. Optional: Chill the punch bowl in the refrigerator for an hour before serving to enhance the fog effect.
  4. Put on thick gloves or use tongs. Break dry ice into smaller chunks if necessary.
  5. Place 2-3 pounds of dry ice pieces into a smaller inner bowl.
  6. Pour 1-2 cups of warm water over the dry ice in the inner bowl to create a vigorous fog reaction.
  7. Carefully place the inner bowl containing the dry ice and water into the center of the larger punch bowl.
  8. Right before serving, pour the lemon-lime soda into the punch bowl and stir gently to combine.
  9. Add orange slices and gummy worms as garnish.
  10. Serve immediately while the fog is rolling and the soda is fizzy.

Notes

Never touch dry ice with bare hands as it can cause frostbite. Ensure dry ice is in a separate container and never touches the liquid directly to prevent swallowing hazards. Ventilate the area well, as dry ice releases carbon dioxide. The fog effect lasts approximately 30-45 minutes. For variations, try swapping orange juice for apple cider or using ginger ale for a spicy kick.
