Refreshing Frozen Strawberry Watermelon Frosé

frozen strawberry watermelon frosé - featured image

A quick and easy 3-ingredient frozen drink combining fresh watermelon, strawberries, and chilled rosé wine for a light, refreshing party beverage.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups fresh, cubed watermelon (seedless preferred)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, hulled
  • 1 ½ cups chilled rosé wine (dry or semi-dry)
  • Optional: splash of fresh lime juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit by cutting 3 cups of watermelon into bite-sized cubes and hull and halve 1 cup of strawberries. Optionally freeze half the watermelon cubes for a thicker texture.
  2. Chill the rosé wine in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  3. Add watermelon cubes, strawberries, and 1 ½ cups rosé into a high-speed blender. Blend on high until smooth and slushy.
  4. If the mixture is too thin, add more frozen watermelon cubes and pulse again. If too thick, add a splash of rosé or water to loosen.
  5. Pour the frosé into chilled glasses and garnish with a strawberry slice or watermelon wedge. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use ripe but firm fruit for best flavor. Chill rosé well before blending to avoid watery texture. For thicker texture, freeze some watermelon cubes ahead. If no blender, make granita by freezing chopped fruit and rosé mixture, stirring every 30 minutes.
