Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning (optional)
  • Ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping
  • Celery sticks and carrot sticks for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded chicken, buffalo wing sauce, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. If using blue cheese crumbles, add them now. Mix until well combined.
  3. Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it on a clean cutting board. Press the perforations together gently to seal. Cut each triangle in half lengthwise to make 16 smaller triangles.
  4. Place about 1 tablespoon of the Buffalo chicken filling onto the wide end of each small triangle. Fold the pointed end over the filling and press the edges to seal. Shape into an oval football shape, pinching the ends slightly. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Brush the top of each bite with melted butter. Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning if desired.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown and the filling is hot and bubbly.
  7. Let cool on the pan for 2-3 minutes. Serve warm with ranch or blue cheese dressing, celery sticks, and carrot sticks.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature cream cheese and shred your own cheddar cheese. Do not overfill the dough to prevent bursting. Assemble bites ahead and refrigerate for up to 4 hours before baking, adding 2-3 minutes to baking time if cold. Freeze unbaked bites for up to 3 months.
