Crispy White Chocolate Witch Finger Pretzels

Crispy White Chocolate Witch Finger Pretzels - featured image

A quick and spooky Halloween treat made by dipping salted pretzel rods in white chocolate and topping them with an almond to resemble a witch’s finger. Ready in under 10 minutes of active time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12–15 long, thin salted pretzel rods
  • 12 ounces high-quality white chocolate chips
  • 12–15 whole raw almonds with skin on

Instructions

  1. Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside near the microwave.
  2. Place white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 30 seconds, then stir thoroughly.
  3. Continue microwaving in 15-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is completely smooth and glossy. Do not overheat.
  4. Pick up a pretzel rod by one end and dip about two-thirds of the rod into the melted white chocolate.
  5. Let excess chocolate drip back into the bowl for a few seconds to ensure an even coating.
  6. While the chocolate is still wet, place a whole almond at the tip of the coated end and press gently to adhere, forming the fingernail.
  7. Place the dipped pretzel on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Repeat with remaining pretzels and chocolate, working in batches if necessary.
  9. Refrigerate the baking sheet for 10-15 minutes until the chocolate is completely hardened.
  10. Remove from refrigerator, check that almonds are secure, and serve or store.

Notes

Ensure all equipment is completely dry to prevent the white chocolate from seizing. Work quickly as white chocolate sets fast. For gluten-free, use GF pretzel rods. For dairy-free, use vegan white chocolate chips. Avoid refrigerating after setting to prevent condensation making the chocolate sticky.
