Cozy Apple Cider Margarita: 5-Min Fall Cocktail

Apple Cider Margarita - featured image

A simple, fast, and delicious fall cocktail featuring fresh apple cider, blanco tequila, and lime juice with a cinnamon-sugar rim. It tastes like an orchard in October and is ready in under five minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz Blanco (Silver) tequila
  • 3 oz fresh unfiltered apple cider
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice (from approx. 2 limes)
  • Cinnamon sugar (3 parts granulated sugar to 1 part ground cinnamon) for rimming
  • Ice (large cubes preferred)
  • Apple slices for garnish
  • Lime wedge for wetting the rim

Instructions

  1. Prepare the rim: Rub the outer rim of a glass with a lime wedge. Dip the wet rim into a mixture of cinnamon and sugar to coat evenly. Set aside.
  2. Combine ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz tequila, 3 oz apple cider, and 0.5 oz fresh lime juice.
  3. Add ice and shake: Fill the shaker with ice. Shake hard for 15-20 seconds until the shaker feels frosty.
  4. Strain and pour: Strain the mixture into the prepared glass. Fill with fresh ice.
  5. Garnish: Add a thin slice of apple on the rim. Optionally add a cinnamon stick for stirring. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use cold apple cider for the best temperature. Fresh lime juice is essential for balancing the sweetness. If the drink is too strong, add a splash of soda water. If too sweet, add more lime. The cinnamon sugar rim should be prepared right before serving to prevent sogginess. For a non-alcoholic version, swap tequila for extra apple cider or apple juice.
