A curated charcuterie board designed for intimacy, balancing salty, sweet, creamy, and crunchy elements to create a memorable date night experience without the stress of cooking.

Ingredients

  • Prosciutto di Parma, thinly sliced
  • Genoa or sopressata salami, sliced
  • Dry cured sausage (chorizo or pepperoni), sliced
  • Marcona almonds, toasted
  • Pretzel crisps
  • Aged cheddar, cubed or sliced
  • Brie or Camembert, small wheel or wedges
  • Goat cheese log, herbed or plain
  • Gruyère, sliced or cubed
  • Fresh seedless grapes (red or green)
  • Fresh figs, halved
  • Dried apricots
  • Honey
  • Dark chocolate squares
  • Cornichons
  • Olives (Castelvetrano or Kalamata)
  • Whole grain or Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Place small bowls for dips, olives, and pickles on the board in a triangle or scattered pattern to anchor the layout.
  2. Arrange cheeses on the board, leaving space between them. Place soft cheese like Brie in the center and cube harder cheeses like Cheddar and Gruyère.
  3. Fold prosciutto into loose rosettes or fan it out to add height. Place salami and chorizo nearby, grouping meats together.
  4. Scatter almonds and pretzel crisps around the cheeses to fill empty gaps and provide structure.
  5. Add fresh grapes, figs, and dried apricots, distributing them evenly to ensure colors pop against the meat and cheese.
  6. Drizzle honey over the Brie and goat cheese. Add a dollop of mustard next to the meats and sprinkle fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary for garnish.
  7. Serve immediately with wine or preferred beverages.

Notes

Serve cheeses at room temperature by taking them out of the fridge 30 minutes before serving. Use the ‘rule of odds’ for arrangement (groups of three or five). For a vegetarian option, swap meats for marinated tofu or roasted chickpeas. For gluten-free, use rice crackers or apple slices.
