A simple, elegant, and impressive brunch board that combines a variety of cheeses, meats, fruits, nuts, and breads to create a luxurious five-star hotel lounge experience at home. Perfect for Mother’s Day or any special occasion.

Ingredients

  • Brie cheese (soft and creamy)
  • Aged cheddar cheese (sharp and firm)
  • Goat cheese log (tangy and spreadable)
  • Prosciutto slices (thin and delicate)
  • Smoked salmon (rich and silky)
  • Baguette slices (toasted)
  • Multigrain crackers
  • Strawberries (hulled and halved)
  • Blueberries (washed)
  • Green grapes (seedless)
  • Honey-roasted almonds
  • Marinated olives
  • Cream cheese mixed with fresh herbs (chives and dill)
  • Fig jam
  • Cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • Cucumber slices (thin)
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Edible flowers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the Brie into wedges, cut cheddar into small cubes or slices, and cut the goat cheese log into thick rounds. Arrange prosciutto slices by gently folding them. Keep smoked salmon chilled until ready to serve.
  2. Lightly toast baguette slices until golden brown but not too crisp. Arrange crackers on the board separately to avoid sogginess.
  3. Rinse strawberries, blueberries, grapes, cherry tomatoes, and cucumbers. Hull and halve strawberries, slice cucumbers thinly, and halve cherry tomatoes.
  4. Combine softened cream cheese with finely chopped fresh chives and dill. Adjust herbs to taste; add a pinch of salt and pepper if desired.
  5. Arrange cheeses spaced out on the board. Nestle meats nearby, then add bowls of olives, nuts, and fig jam. Fill gaps with fruit clusters and vegetable slices. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and edible flowers if using.
  6. Drizzle honey over almonds and scatter a few extra berries or herbs on top for visual appeal. Serve immediately or cover loosely with parchment paper and refrigerate for up to 2 hours.

Notes

Let cheeses sit out for 15-20 minutes before serving to enhance flavor. Prepare herb cream cheese and slice fruits the night before if short on time, but assemble just before serving. Keep delicate items like smoked salmon chilled until serving. For gluten-free, replace breads and crackers with gluten-free alternatives. For vegetarian, omit meats and add plant-based proteins like roasted chickpeas.
