  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro (finely chopped)

Instructions

  1. Cut each avocado in half lengthwise, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  2. Using a fork or potato masher, gently mash the avocado until you reach your desired texture (chunky or smooth).
  3. Squeeze the juice of one fresh lime over the mashed avocado. Sprinkle in the salt and mix well to combine. Taste and adjust salt as needed.
  4. Add the finely chopped jalapeño to the bowl. Stir gently to distribute evenly.
  5. Fold the chopped fresh cilantro into the guacamole.
  6. Give everything one last stir and taste. Adjust lime juice or salt if needed. Optionally add a pinch of cumin or garlic powder.

Notes

Use Hass avocados for best creaminess. Adjust jalapeño amount for desired heat. To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the guacamole surface or store with avocado pit inside. For a dairy twist, add Greek yogurt. For milder flavor, omit jalapeño or substitute with smoked paprika.
